Overview
These terms apply when you use thornburyshop.com or buy from us. They're an agreement between you and Thornbury ("Thornbury", "we", "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We've written them as plainly as we can.

Using our store
You must be at least 18, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to place an order. Keep your account login private: you're responsible for orders placed under your account. Don't use our products or our site for anything unlawful.
Products and availability
We describe and photograph every product as accurately as we can. Colors can look different on different screens, and natural materials such as wood, leather, stone and linen vary from piece to piece; those differences aren't defects. Products, prices and availability can change without notice, and we may limit how many of a product one customer can buy.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax and shipping are shown at checkout before you pay.
- If we list a product at the wrong price, we'll tell you before it ships, and you can buy it at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- By paying, you confirm you're authorized to use that payment method. Our Payments policy has the details.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship it. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock, we can't verify the payment, or we suspect fraud or resale. If we cancel an order you've paid for, we refund you in full.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery times and costs are in our Shipping policy. Your order is our responsibility until it's delivered; ownership and risk of loss pass to you on delivery. If we can't ship within the time we promised, we'll tell you and offer a full refund.
Returns and the Thornbury Guarantee
You can return most items within 60 days of delivery under our Return and refund policy. Everything we sell is also covered by The Thornbury Guarantee, a one-year limited warranty, and by any warranty from its maker.
Reviews and content you send us
When you post a review, photo or comment, or send us an idea, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy and display it in connection with Thornbury. You confirm that it's yours to share, that it's honest, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. We publish reviews whether they're good or bad. We remove only reviews that are unlawful, abusive, off-topic or contain someone's personal information.
Intellectual property
Everything on this site, including text, photography, graphics, the THORNBURY name and the TB monogram, belongs to Thornbury or is used under license, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reuse or sell our content, or use our name or marks, without our written permission.
User conduct
Don't use the site to break the law or anyone's rights, send spam or malicious code, interfere with the site's security or operation, or copy it with automated tools without our permission. We may suspend access or cancel orders if you do.
Third-party services and links
Our site links to services we don't control, such as payment providers and carriers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we aren't responsible for their content or practices.
Warranties
Apart from The Thornbury Guarantee, any warranty from the maker, and any rights the law gives you that can't be excluded, our products and site are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, any implied warranties on products, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last one year from delivery. We don't promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Thornbury is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnification
If you break these terms or the law and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our resulting losses and reasonable legal fees.
Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@thornburyshop.com; most problems are solved within a few days. If we can't resolve a dispute within 30 days, either of us may take it to court. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and applicable US federal law. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in New York County, New York, although either of us may use small claims court where a claim qualifies. If you're a consumer, you keep the protections of the consumer laws where you live.
Severability and the rest
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site and buying from us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new date. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
