The Thornbury Guarantee

If anything you buy from us fails in normal use within a year, we will repair it, replace it or refund it.

That's the whole promise. The rest of this page explains how it works.

What's covered

Everything we sell, against defects in materials and workmanship, for one year from the day it's delivered. For example:

  • a seam that opens, a strap that tears loose or a zipper that fails
  • a handle, leg or joint that loosens
  • a glaze, finish or plating that cracks, peels or flakes
  • a lamp or tool that stops working

What isn't covered

  • Normal wear and the marks of use: leather that softens, wood that darkens, linen that creases. These are signs of a thing being used, not failing.
  • Damage from accidents, misuse or not following the care instructions.
  • Pieces altered or repaired by someone else.
  • Pieces bought from another seller.

How to make a claim

  1. Email support@thornburyshop.com with your order number, a photo of the problem and a sentence about what happened. If it was a gift, use the order number on the packing slip.
  2. We reply within one business day.
  3. If we need the piece back, we email you a prepaid label.
  4. We repair it, replace it with the same or a comparable piece, or refund what you paid. If a repair isn't practical, you choose between a replacement and a refund.

You pay nothing for any of it, including shipping.

Who it covers

The person who bought the piece from thornburyshop.com, and anyone they gave it to.

Makers' warranties

Many pieces also carry a maker's warranty that runs longer than ours. When one does, we say so on the product page, and we'll help you use it.

The legal part

The Thornbury Guarantee is a one-year limited warranty from Thornbury, 42 Broadway, New York, NY 10004, support@thornburyshop.com, 1 (800) 689-3961.

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last for one year from delivery. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This guarantee gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
