A stronghold in the thorns
Thornbury is an Old English name for a stronghold ringed by thorns. For centuries, English fields were guarded by hawthorn hedges, living walls that kept what mattered safe.
We think a good shop should work the same way. We stand between you and the endless scroll of things made to be replaced. Every piece we sell has to pass three tests: it is made to last, it is designed to stay beautiful, and it is honestly priced.
Most things never make it through the hedge. The ones that do are worth keeping.
One store for the whole home, and everyone in it
Clothing, accessories, the living room, the kitchen, the garden and the walls. We hold every piece to the same standard, so you can furnish a home and fill a wardrobe from one place you trust. We organize the store by room and by use, never by "for him" and "for her".
How a piece gets in
Before anything goes on sale, we get its materials, construction and country of origin from the maker in writing. We order a sample and use it hard for two weeks. Then we ask two more questions: will it still look right in ten years, and is the price fair for what it is? See how we choose.

- Free returns for 60 days. If it isn't right, send it back with our prepaid label.
- The Thornbury Guarantee. If anything you buy from us fails in normal use within a year, we repair it, replace it or refund it. How the guarantee works.

Thornbury has no founding legend and no family crest. We have a standard, and we hold every order to it. If something we sold you doesn't live up to it, write to us and we will make it right.
